Initial plans called for us to toss Hillary at the end to see how far she really would have gone. However, because of the rain, we didn't. So now we'll never know .... (Didn't artist Melanie Elam do a great job?)

A Big Thank You ----
All of the candidates that I could get ahold of were invited to this event. Some of their staff persons laughed and howled when I shared with them this event. I was calling asking for a photo for the students to use as a guide. Most of the candidates responded. A great big thank you goes out to the Statesville Record & Landmark for all their assistance in pulling this event together! And, a big thank you to the Statesville Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Statesville Downtown Development Corporation, Inc. for letting me do this event.
